Candidates must have completed Certificate III in Carpentry or a stand-alone trade certificate at level III or completed the specific prerequisites for the Units as described in the course outline

Candidates must successfully pass the entry level Basic Medical Check

Candidates may also enter the qualification through a number of other pathways including:

• completing an equivalent construction course
• having worked in a related construction industry for a period of time and able to demonstrate the competencies for Certificate III in General Construction.

To achieve a Certificate IV in Carpentry a total number of 18 units must be completed.
