Candidates must have:completed a Certificate 3 in Domestic and Industrial competencies or a stand-alone trade certificate at level 3 and or completed the specific prerequisites for the Units as described in the course outline.
Candidates must successfully pass the entry level Basic Medical Check
Candidates may also enter the qualification through a number of other pathways including:
- completing an equivalent Electrical course
- working in the Electrical trades area for a period of time and able to demonstrate the competencies for Certificate 3 in Domestic and Industrial electric codes.
To achieve a Certificate IV in Electrical a total number of 29 units must be completed.
