Candidates must have completed the Certificate I in General Construction or be able to demonstrate the Certificate I competencies including for numeracy and Tetum or Portuguese language skills

Candidates may enter the qualification through a number of points including:

• completing Certificate I in General Construction or an equivalent construction course
• working in construction for a period of time and able to demonstrate the competencies for Certificate I in General Construction.

To achieve a Certificate II in Metal Fabrication and Welding a total number of 12 units must be completed.
